Karnataka's oldest MLA, 91, considers himself a "galloping horse" in electoral arena

Davagere (K'taka): Shamanur Shivashankarappa, 91, is showing that age is just a number by once again preparing for the Karnataka Assembly elections and referring to himself as a "galloping horse" in the electoral arena.

The grand old party of the Congress has re-nominated the five-time MLA and former Lok Sabha member to run from Davangere South.

I have the backing of the people and the favour of God. Can anything further be done? Confident of another victory, Shivashankarappa remarks with a grin that he has become "synonymous" with Davangere in central Karnataka.—Inputs from Agencies
